Qualifications: MA in Creative Writing, NTU (2007-8) (Distinction); BA (Hons) English (2.1); Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector Certificate (WEA)

Writing commissions: ‘Ms Hood’ for Guardian award-winning graphic novel Dawn Of The Unread (2016); Poet-in-Residence for The Observatory (2016-17); commissioned poet for World Event Young Artists (WEYA 2012) with Writing East Midlands; Poet-in-Residence for Lyric Lounge (2011) and more.

Prizes/Awards: Winner of the Buxton Poetry Prize (2015) and Nottingham Poetry Society’s Performance Poetry Competition (2010).

Publications: Lost Lands (pamphlet), Crystal Clear Creators (2012); published in journals including Under The Radar, Staple, Hearing Voices, New Walk and more.

Readings/Performances: Ledbury Poetry Festival, Copenhagen International Poetry Festival, Tongue Fu at Night of the Festivals (and many more); performed across the East Midlands as part of Renaissance One’s mentoring scheme, The Final Stage, led by Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze MBE.

Employment/Freelance: Arts Project Manager/Coordinator. Roles included delivering a wide range of community arts and literature projects and workshops in rural and urban environments, including large-scale community arts events, public art and sculpture trails for Junction Arts (2011-2016) and coordinating Nottingham Writers’ Studio and Writing Conference East Midlands (2008-2010).
